Paloma Health Member Policies
Medication Refill Policy
At Paloma Health, we are dedicated to providing a seamless way to manage your hypothyroid care. Our Care Managers are available via chat to assist you in obtaining the care you need, including quick medication refills.
How Do Refills Work?
- Our Care Managers follow your provider's recommendations for refilling medications and adhering to your treatment plan. This includes guidelines for testing your thyroid function and scheduling follow-up visits.
- To help you stay on track, we will send reminders through your Care Manager chat in advance of when it's time to test your thyroid and schedule a follow-up visit.
- We recommend arranging testing and follow-up visits well in advance to avoid any lapses in medication.
Can I Request a Short-Term Refill?
- If you need a short-term refill while awaiting your Paloma provider visit or testing, please inform your Care Manager.
- Once your follow-up visit is scheduled and testing is planned, your Care Manager may coordinate a short-term refill to ensure continuity of care.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Appointment Cancellations
- Members will not be charged if an appointment is canceled or rescheduled at least 4 hours before the scheduled start time.
No Shows

- You can do this directly in your Paloma portal by clicking here.
- If your appointment is less than 24 hours away, please message your Care Manager or email contact@palomahealth.com for assistance.

Insurance Reimbursement FAQs
Paloma Health is committed to making healthcare affordable and accessible. We accept a wide range of insurance plans and continually expand our offerings. On your Explanation of Benefits, you may see "Chrysalis Health," the legal name of our medical practice.
- If Paloma Health is in your insurance network, we will submit claims after your visit. Your insurance will process the claim and determine your copay, coinsurance, and deductible.
- Our system will charge the amount to the card on file. Please allow 30-45 business days for this process, which may take longer if appeals are involved.
To check if we accept your plan, please upload a photo of your insurance card [here]. Note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid, though certain Medicare Advantage Plans are accepted.
Insurance Acceptance and Billing
Paloma Health accepts various insurance plans as an in-network provider. When you use your insurance benefits, we bill your insurance carrier directly, adhering to the terms of your policy, which includes copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Each plan is unique, and your progress toward meeting your deductible may vary based on your monthly healthcare usage.
Self-Pay Option
- If you choose not to use your insurance, Paloma Health offers a discounted self-pay rate for quicker payments and reduced administrative overhead.
- Please note that for self-pay visits, we cannot provide superbills.
