Paloma Health's Medication Refill Policy

At Paloma Health, we are dedicated to providing a seamless way to manage your hypothyroid care. Our Care Managers are available via chat to assist you in obtaining the care you need, including quick medication refills.

We offer refills for current patients who have recent thyroid labs on file and are following their provider’s treatment plan.

How Do Refills Work?

• Our Care Managers follow your provider's recommendations for refilling medications and adhering to your treatment plan. This includes guidelines for testing your thyroid function and scheduling follow-up visits.
• To help you stay on track, we will send reminders through your Care Manager chat in advance of when it's time to test your thyroid and schedule a follow-up visit.
• We recommend arranging testing and follow-up visits well in advance to avoid any lapses in medication.
• Refill requests directly from pharmacies, with no communication from the patient, cannot be approved. For patient safety, we require that the patient reach out to their Care Manager for a refill.

Can I Request a Short-Term Refill?

• New patients: Establish care by completing a visit with a Paloma provider before medication can be prescribed or refilled.
• Current patients: Patients must reach out to Paloma Health directly via their Care Manager to request a medication refill.

How to Request a Short-term refills: 

• If you are due for a follow-up visit, you will need to schedule your followup appointment and then message your Care Manager that you need a refill. The followup visit must be on the calendar in order for the refill to be sent to your pharmacy. You are welcome to schedule several weeks out if you need time for lab testing.
• If you are not due for a follow-up, but your prescription has run out, message your Care Manager to have enough refills sent to your pharmacy until you are due for a followup visit.
• How do I know if I am due for a followup? Review your visit summary. Log into your account and click on your last visit date. Your visit summary will be located there!
